THE LIVERPOOL COOK BOOK

We were absolutely DELIGHTED to be asked to submit a recipe for the Liverpool Cook Book in 2016. We are keeping very good company with some our favourite Liverpool restaurants also featuring! Matt wanted to showcase one of our AWESOME burgers, and teach people that making your own from scratch is not hard, and something which is SO worth the effort!

The Spicy Dub Smash Burger features in the book, along with an interview plus detailed recipe and method of how to make the burger and our 'FAMOUS' Halloumi Fries! You can taste this burger at the cafe as it features on the menu here!

 

The Big Dub of Love Residency

We are absolutely DELIGHTED to have been invited to have a RESIDENCY at the fab Camp and Furnace in Liverpool. We've been taking the Big Dub of Love there since Summer 2015, and our food has captured people's imagination! It's been an absolute blast, and the wonderful gang at Camp and Furnace have asked us to be regular traders on Friday nights at the New Food Slam, PLUS serve our lovely food every Saturday at the crazy fun Bongo's Bingo! If you've not heard of Bongo's Bingo (https://twitter.com/bongosbingo88) check it out soon...it is something else! 700 people playing Bingo, having a rave, eating great food, dancing on the tables, winning prizes...plus some very special guest appearances.....this Saturday 23rd January, its THE HOFF!!!! seriously... 

We love working at Camp and Furnace and we love our family down there...can't wait to see how all the ideas develop over the course of 2016! It's going to be a LOT of fun!!

Not just for our café/restaurant in West Kirby, but for our Street Food van, The Big Dub of Love.

We’ve developed some ‘signature’ dishes which are best-sellers; The Fluffy Hens, The Deconstructed BLT, The Spicy Fish Finger Sandwich and Cajun Halloumi Bites to name a few….we can show you have to create these flavours!

Hello from Hardy’s Kitchen & The Big Dub of Love

So here we are just a few weeks to Christmas, and I’m finally getting on with starting our Blog ‘journey’. It’s something I’ve wanted to do for many months, but life is busy as it is for everyone! Sometimes, the list of things we WANT to do, gets lost in the list of things we HAVE to do.

So, there is lots to talk about, lots of news, and an exciting year ahead for Hardy’s Kitchen & our Big Dub of Love – our beloved 1979 VW camper which is now a street food truck.

This month you will find us on a weekly spot at Camp & Furnace’s Food Slam. You can find us & our Big Dub there Fridays and Saturdays up to the 19th December. There’s a fantastic Frank Sinatra 100th Birthday event on the 11th at Camp & Furnace – we can’t wait to bring some new yummy food to Food Slam that night – Old Blue Eyes Beef Burger & Franks Italian Twist to name just 2! What are these delights I hear you say??! Well you’ll just have to get down to Greenland Street on Friday to see.
